At Compass Dog Services, we believe your dog’s good manners and fulfilment go hand-in-hand. That’s why our group courses, led by Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor Brogan Ryan, equip you with the skills to strengthen your bond with your dog and realise their potential through breed-specific training.
Whether you have a new puppy or an adult dog, as the owner of a gundog breed, you share your home with an intelligent and loyal animal who has been bred for work on the field. Our courses – from Puppy, Beginner, through to Working – are tailored to all ages and skill levels, so whether your dog is a seasoned-worker or completely new to gundog training, you can provide an outlet for their instinctual needs.
For training with a specific focus, we provide 1:1 training sessions available to all breeds.

Compass Dog Services offers peace of mind in the knowledge that when your dog is on a group walk with us, they join a carefully curated pack (based on compatibility factors such as age, energy level, and temperament) with an emphasis on neutrality, controlled socialisation, and canine enjoyment.
Running Monday-Friday, our Group Walks allow your dogs to exercise and positively interact in the safety of an enclosed field under the care of experienced walkers with qualification-backed understanding of canine behaviour.
Our curated packs mean that your dog will feel safe in the company of the familiar members of their group, providing an enjoyable experience from the moment we collect your dog at the door.
The coveted A.P.G.I logo certifies the completion of the Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor Programme, founded and led by Lez Graham, a fellow of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association and a master trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers. It is a recognised badge of quality, demonstrating the instructor to have met the highest possible standard in pet gundog training and signifying a continued commitment to excellence.
